Florida Institute of Technology Reviews
Rating 3.74 out of 5 1,122 reviews
Rating 4 out of 5
My time at Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech) has been marked by some notable challenges. The campus, while functional, feels cramped due to its small size, and the lack of green space makes finding peaceful areas difficult. Moreover, the campus community lacks diversity, leading to a somewhat hom*ogeneous environment that limits exposure to different perspectives.
One significant area of disappointment has been the dining options. While there are eateries available, the quality and variety of food leave much to be desired. Many students opt to seek alternatives off-campus for more satisfying meals.
Despite these shortcomings, Florida Tech does offer solid academic programs. However, the overall campus experience could be greatly enhanced by addressing these issues. Increasing diversity among students and faculty, improving campus facilities, and upgrading dining options would contribute to a more enriching and inclusive environment for all students.

After receiving various scholarship opportunities, I am particularly impressed by studying in FIT means having a dynamic, enriching experience, due to scientific professors and cutting-edge equipment. Moreover, your projects and publications about large-scale oceanographic processes to study changing marine ecosystems fascinated me and made me think of working under your supervision because according to my education and academic background, the study of large scale oceanography phenomenon is very relevant to my field and I would like to continue studying and researching in an interdisciplinary field. I was wondering if you are planning on taking any new students for the next academic year .

Overall my experience at Florida Tech was great, from the diversity and clubs to the plethora of campus activities in the small city of Melbourne I felt comfortable there. However, I will say that it can sometimes be difficult to navigate choosing your desired classes and completing your necessary paperwork for administration and registration every year.
Overall, I had a good time attending school here.
