UNDATED (AP) — Florida State and Virginia finished two-game sweeps in their NCAA super regionals to become the first teams to advance to the College World Series. Evansville became the first No. 4 regional seed to beat a No. 1 national seed when it defeated Tennessee 10-8 to force a third and deciding game in their super regional. Florida State followed its 24-4 beatdown of UConn on Friday with a 10-8 win in 12 innings. Virginia finished off Kansas State with a 10-4 victory. Their wins give the Atlantic Coast Conference at least two teams in the CWS for a second straight year.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Trey Pooser pitched the first seven innings of a one-hitter, Ryan Nicholson drove in three runs and Kentucky defeated Oregon State 10-0 to open the Lexington Super Regional of the NCAA Tournament. Kentucky, the No. 2 national seed, can advance to the College World Series with a win on Sunday. An Oregon State win would force a deciding third game on Monday. In his seven innings on the mound, Pooser allowed one hit, struck out eight and walked four batters. Only one runner reached third base and two others made it as far as second. Jackson Nove finished with two hitless innings, striking out four.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — McKenzie Long of Mississippi captured titles in the 100 meters, 200 and 400-meter relay, while Arkansas won the team title at the NCAA women’s outdoor track and field championships. Long won the 100 in 10.82 seconds, and she finished the 200 in a personal-best time of 21.83. She also helped Ole Miss finish the relay in a program-record 42.34 seconds. Nickisha Pryce of Arkansas set meet and collegiate records to win the 400 meters in 48.89 seconds, helping the Razorbacks finish 1-2-3-4 in the event. The Razorbacks finished with 63 points, four ahead of second-place Florida. Texas was third with 41 points.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Chris Cortez and Evan Aschenbeck pitched 7 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, Hayden Schott drove in three runs and Texas A&M battled back from an early three-run deficit to defeat mistake-prone Oregon 10-6 in the opening game of the College Station Super Regional. Cortez came on in relief in the second inning and pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out 10. He was relieved after allowing a leadoff walk and hitting a batter with one out in the eighth. Aschenbeck got out of the eighth with a foul out and a strikeout. He retired the side in order in the ninth. He pitched 1 2/3 innings without allowing a hit and struck out three for his eighth save.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Kip Fougerousse, Cal McInnis and Brendan Hord each hit a home run to help Evansville beat No. 1 national seed Tennessee 10-8 to avoid elimination at the best-of-three Knoxville Super Regional. The teams will play a decisive Game 3 on Sunday with the winner advancing to the College World Series. Fougerousse, Brent Widder and McInnis each hit an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make it 6-5 and Evansville led the rest of the way. Blake Burke, Dylan Dreiling and Hunter Ensley each hit a solo home run in the top of the first and Burke’s sacrifice fly scored Dean Curley in the second to give Tennessee (54-12) a 4-0 lead.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Jac Caglianone hit his 32nd home run of the season to spark Florida’s seven-run fifth inning and the Gators beat Clemson 10-7 to win Game 1 of the best-of-three Clemson Super Regional. Florida can clinch a berth in the College World Series with a win in Game 2. Caglianone hit an 0-1 pitch over the wall in left for a three-run home run to give the Gators the lead for good before Michael Robertson’s RBI single capped the explosion and made it 9-4 in the top of the fifth. Tyler Shelnut hit a solo homer for Florida. Alden Mathes finished 3 for 5 with two runs for the Tigers.

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Noah Soles had two doubles and five RBIs in N.C. State’s 11-run second inning and the Wolfpack routed Georgia 18-1 in Game 1 of the best-of-three Athens Super Regional. Soles hit a three-RBI double down the line in right and Eli Serrano III hit the next pitch over the wall in right center to make it 6-0 in the second. Butterworth added an RBI single before Nixon and Soles each hit two-RBI doubles to give No. 10 seed N.C. State an 11-0 lead. N.C. State can clinch a berth in the College World Series with a win in Game 2. Corey Collins singled to right in the bottom of the fifth for seventh-seeded Georgia (42-16) to make it 13-1.

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Florida finished third in the 1,600-meter relay to pass Auburn — which failed to qualify for the final event — in the team standings Friday night for the Gators’ third straight NCAA men’s outdoor track and field championship and fifth in eight seasons. Florida finished with 41 points to edge the Tigers by one. Southern California followed with 33, Alabama had 32 and Texas A&M 31. The Aggies broke the school and meet record in the relay at 2 minutes, 58.37 seconds. At the start of the day, Auburn moved up to second in the standings when it won the 400 relay in 38.03 — the third-fastest time in collegiate history.
