Palia Field School Friendship Quest And Walkthrough (2024)

Developer Singularity 6 added new Friendship quests within the previous patch updates, namely the v0.179 and v0.180 patch updates. Resident archeologist Jina is one of the Villager NPCs that received a new Friendship quest, Field School, in which Palians can increase their Friendship levels to unlock this quest.

Alongside increasing her Friendship levels, they must also have completed her previous Friendship quest for the quest to be triggered. As such, we've conducted research to help Palians reveal the objectives for completing the Field School Friendship quest for Jina in Palia.

Palia Field School Friendship Quest Objectives List

Field School is the latest Friendship quest available for Palians to obtain and continue exploring for one of the Villager NPCs, Jina. Following the Cheer Up quest, Jina received some unfortunate news from the Bahari Institute, and it appears this happened again, which they must explore.

Once they've reached Friendship Level 5 with Jina, a letter from her is sent to their Mailbox, which details her recent rejection from the Bahari Institute, which leaves her infuriated. Looking to revise her previous proposal, Palians must assist her in their latest adventure, for which we've detailed the quest objectives below to guide them during the Friendship quest:

• Meet Jina inside the Ancient Library
• Talk to Jina at the Housing Plot
• Find four Map Fragments inside the Temple of the Waves
  • Talk to Jina in the Temple of the Waves
• Pass Jina's test
• Find all four clues in the Temple
• Wait for the mail from the Bahari Institute
  • TellJinathe results from the Institute

How To Complete The Field School Friendship Quest In Palia?

Once they've reached Friendship Level 5 with Jina, they await a letter from Jina to read its contents before the friendship quest is triggered. Head to the Ancient Library at Mirror Field Ponds in Kilima Village, where they'll find Jina and Subira as they learn that the Bahari Institute rejected her thesis proposal after The Order had learned about Jina's recent discovery.

Unfortunately, things worsened when Subira informed Jina that the Ancient Library would be closed to prevent public access. Jina mentions the Cultural Preservation Law, which allows non-Majiri members to continue learning and practicing their "cultural practices and history" without The Order getting involved.

This can only be applicable if they were a cultural advisor, which Jina suggests. The Player should acquire the "correct certification," allowing Jina to continue her research. This will require them to learn various field skills, including fieldwork, mapping, and record-keeping, which will be signed off by a Bahari Institute member, Jina.

After Jina and Subira conclude their conversation, wait for Jina to appear at their Housing Plot to discuss how to approach their field skills. As they'll need to test their mapping work, Jina recommends mapping the Temple of the Waves, in which they should capture the structures and layout within the temple.

Head to the Temple of the Waves at Phoenix Falls, which they should have unlocked during the Ancient Battery quest. Once inside, there are four unique Points of Interest (POIs) to map, which we've detailed below:

• The water brass bowl
• The entrance section at the temple courtyard
• The large brass door inside the Mysterious Chamber
• The steps in front of the room of the Water Temple puzzle

Once the areas have been mapped, return to Jina beside the water brass bowl to hand over the map. The next order of business is their record-keeping skills, which can be achieved by investigating an area and documenting their discoveries.

The room where they are to investigate is inside the temple by finding the bookshelves near the brass door they had to map and look for the room across from it. Head inside and examine the clues by a desk, specifically the writing tools, itched markings on the desk, and the HydroFlow Pop Quiz before taking the geyser and gliding across to report to Jina.

After collecting all the information, speak with Jina to hear her thoughts on what they had discovered before she gave them her recommendation. They must wait for a letter from the Bahari Institute to read before returning to Jina to inform her of their decision.

Once they've told Jina the great news, she'll thank them for helping her continue her research. This will conclude Jina's Friendship quest, Field School, during which they'll receive Jina's Favorite Quill, 35 Renown, and a post-quest letter from Jina, which will lead into a Discovery quest should they've completed Hekla and Jina's Friendship quests.
